Dabble Lab

Today I'm super excited to officially introduce Dabble Lab. What is it? It's a business accelerator - sort of. While most business accelerators help you launch a startup - at Dabble Lab, we launch your startup (or product idea) for you.

Think startup team for hire. You bring the idea and we'll provide the people, the experience, and a proven process to plan, market-validate, build and launch your product or startup for you. Better still, we can likely launch faster, and for less than it would cost you to do it yourself.

I'll try to resist making this post a sales pitch because aside from introducing Dabble Lab, I really want to focus on the idea of “startup teams for hire”. But, if you want a sales pitch, by all means, let's talk. ;-)

So, what about this idea of startup teams for hire? Where did the idea come from, is anyone else doing it and can it work?

Since Tampa Bay WaVE began in 2008, I've been involved as a board member and mentor. That has exposed me to a lot of incredible people with some amazing ideas. But as the saying goes, "the idea is the easy part". The building and execution are the hard parts.

I can certainly attest to this. I've built three companies in my career and its never been a lack of ideas that worried me. It was always the time, resources, and risks associated with executing on the ideas that kept me up at nights. But one question helped me more than any other. How can we go further, faster, with less risk?

There isn't one right answer, and finding an answer isn't easy. But the belief that there must be a way is what drives the best entrepreneurs I've met. So, my hope for Dabble Lab is that we provide one possible answer to anyone with a great technology idea.
